We don't shoot against a back drop for our
bridal portraits, or for any other
portrait session for that matter. We prefer to shoot all of our
wedding photography bridal portraits on location in
Richmond or Central VA. Usually done in a location of the bride's choice we capture visually interesting scenes that are more inspired by

Playing with natural light
We love to play around with the light on location and usually shoot between 6-7 in the summer and 4-5 in the winter we do this so that we can have soft directional light which helps bring form and a beautiful golden tone to the bride. Could we achieve the same effect with a flash? Perhaps but it wouldn't be as flattering or as soft as what we achieve otherwise.
Letting the Bride Show through
When taking
Bridal Portraits our end goal is always to let the bride show through. We want to capture the natural expressions and movement of the bride so that her
bridal portraits aren't cookie cutter
photographs but rather unique and beautiful representations of the bride.
