Signature Drinks for your Wedding

I love the idea of signature wedding drinks, coming up with a cocktail that is unique or having a drink there that reflects who you are is just another great way to customize your wedding. I especially love it when couples choose a local brewery for the groom’s drink in addition to the bride’s cocktail. Regardless of what you decide to do here are a few tips to help when choosing your signature drinks.

1. Try to match the drink to the season, nobody wants to drink a long island ice tea in the middle of winter. Choose light, crisp, and cool drinks for the warmer months and dark, complex, warm drinks for the cooler months.
2. Keep simple and reflective of you, if you don’t like vodka, there’s no reason to have dirty martinis at the reception. If you like bourbon then have manhattans or mint julep, if you’re not into liquor then go for wine or beer, just because it is signature drink doesn’t mean it has to be a mixed drink. A signature drink should be drink that you really enjoy and want everyone to experience.
3. Smaller alcohol portions. With a drink that people are familiar with they know how to pace themselves, with a signature cocktail drink they have no idea what the alcohol content is until they are putting ties around their head and doing the worm on the floor. A lower alcohol content will allow your guests to enjoy themselves with out having to regret it the next day.

My Default Setting In Life

undefined

It’s 1:12 am and I just realized something, my default setting is working. When I can’t sleep or don’t know what to do, I’ll typically go find my lap top and try to work. For some people I suppose it is sleeping, others it may be playing, and others it may be reading but for some reason when I don’t know what to do I work. I suppose I picked this up from my father who probably worked harder than any man that I’ve known, something I hope to inherit. He always had this work ethic that to this day pushes me to want to do better and work harder. I’ve always admired him for that. I just think that the successful people in the world are hard workers, and got to where they are by putting in the time, day in and day out. I also think that one of the other reasons is that being a photographer isn’t a job for me, it is my passion and part of who I am now something is hardwired into me that I can’t just turn off. So I work, hoping to push myself half as far as my dad did. Constantly trying to learn more, shoot more, and just do better.

The Best Clients

I’ve seriously have some of the best clients that you can get for wedding photography, & I love it when the send me cards. They come in after engagement shoots, bridal shoots, or after weddings, and it’s always a treat when I find them in my mail box. I love that I’ve been able to give them something that they’ll cherish forever, and I love that they always take the time to write me about their experiences. It always means so much to me, Yup I’ve got the best clients, and I’m lucky to have them.
