Shooting this couple was truly a treat. Having worked with her sister a couple years back it was really fun to shoot with her sister. Avee comes from a family of 3 sisters who are all very close and amazingly kind hearted. Lloyd is a military man who is quick to laugh and truly loves his fiance. Thanks guys for making trip for your engagement session! Here are a few of my favorites as well as their engagement in their own words.
“The Snotty Proposal – please excuse mispelled words and bad grammar
Lloyd was acting funny last Thursday night – being vague about a “hike” he wanted to do the following day (Friday). So I had a feeling he was up to this as I knew he had ordered a ring. Friday morning I was in the operating room assisting with a tubal ligation (women having her tubes tied = no more babies). I did not feel well at all – stuffy nose, bad headache, the body aches…and I got very light headed and was about to pass out. Ended up being sent home and was disappointed and embarrassed b/c i knew that the OR staff though I was a “she can’t handle seeing blood” person, but really I was coming down with a virus/sinus infection. Very romantic : ) I slept ALL day and loaded up on Sudafed and Advil cause i did not want to miss this hike! We went into the beautiful Alaskan outback and Lloyd was very patient to let us stop every now again for me to blow my nose. It was gorgeous and very refreshing – we hiked most of the way through snow and reached the almost to
p when he decided that we should sit down. He had a tarp for sitting, a blanket to keep us warm and had packed sandwhiches with side items and some good wine! He kept turning his back toward me and turned around with a new item each time, and one time he had a little box and got on his knee. Very Lloydlike he said all in one breath “I’ve been waiting to do this all my life, I love you, will you marry me?” I said yes of coarse, which he didn’t hear because he was trying to figure out which hand to put the ring on and he goes ” wait…did you say yes?” The ring was HUGE as they had forgotten to size it and we got a good laugh as it dangled on my finger…but it was very sweet and fit our style and then a world of peace came over us cause finally this thing was official! On the drive home we stopped at a truck stop and had pie and I showed the folks there, whom we did not even know, my new diamond and they were very nice to us. My ring is beautiful, but even more, I know for certain that this is just the right man for me! He is the only person I can imagine being promised to for the rest of our lives! Haleluiah! The Lord has been faithful and we are so excited to get married!”
